Taisy Conk directs Community Food Action, a program that brings comprehensive and holistic solutions to food issues into the Mt. Eden neighborhood of the Bronx. Since 2013, Taisy has built the program from the ground up with the support of passionate team members, partners, and community members. Prior to working at New Settlement, Taisy conducted food access and physical activity policy research in New Orleans and Boston and was a Patient Navigator at a safety net hospital. Taisy holds an MPH from Tulane University in global community health and nutrition and a Bachelor’s degree from Bates College in biology and Spanish. Taisy is committed to building healthy and equitable urban communities through policy, systems change, and comprehensive initiatives rooted in community leadership.
