Sia Harriett Pickett is the owner of Malata Cuisine, a personal “Natural Foods” chef service in Brooklyn, NY. Sia is a community chef, culinary chef instructor and health coach/personal chef. She is a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and a student of Escoffier Culinary School, with over twenty years of holistic cooking and trainer experience. Ms. Pickett is very passionate about educating the community about life style options as it pertains to cooking healthy foods and overall health. As a chef instructor Sia has contracted several after school cooking/nutrition programs, daycare centers, and adult community programs. Working with children from head starts to high school, their families and teachers throughout the 5 boroughs. She has been a Just Food’s Community Chef since 2011, and enjoys inspiring farmers’ market shoppers with healthy--and delicious--cooking demos.
