Maggie Rourke acts as the Assistant Director of Nutrition at Urban Health Plan (UHP) coordinating nutrition services within UHP satellite health centers and their surrounding communities. Ms. Rourke received her Bachelor’s in Science in Dietetics/Nutrition from Syracuse University and completed her Dietetic Internship and Master’s in Public Health Nutrition from Hunter College here in NYC. This experience exposed her to the many diverse communities throughout NYC and their health needs. She now acts as the leader of Urban Health Plan’s Shop Healthy Bronx team which has gradually expanded to 5 neighborhoods and clinic sites in the Bronx and Queens. Over the past 5 and ½ years with UHP, Ms. Rourke has become an active member of Urban Health Plan’s Public Health Council which strives to integrate prevention and public health concepts into the primary care provided by the organization.
