Liz Spurrell-Huss, MPH, LCSW is a public health social worker in the Office of Community and Population Health (OCPH) at Montefiore Health System in Bronx, NY. In her current position as Senior Project Manager, she is responsible for providing project management and coordination on key initiatives, including directing the Montefiore Healthy Food Initiative. Liz also develops and strengthens relationships with stakeholders across sectors and engages in strategic planning, as well as assists with the writing and coordination of grant applications and reports for the department. Liz has an MSW and MPH, both from Boston University, and completed a Trauma Certification at Hunter College of Social Work. Liz previously worked as a clinical social worker for HIV positive youth and their families, as well as advocate for survivors of trauma and intimate partner violence. In addition, she has experience developing community-based HIV/AIDS and violence prevention programming. Liz is also a certified yoga instructor.
