President, Ralph E. Ogden Foundation, Inc.


Since 2009, Beatrice Stern has served as President of the Ralph E. Ogden Foundation, Inc., a family foundation located in Mountainville, NY. The Foundation is a lead investor in the Chester Agricultural Center (CAC) in Chester, NY, and has funded projects related to seed diversity, farmworker rights, farmland preservation and food sovereignty, locally, in the Caribbean and in Latin America. Prior to taking on her position at the Ralph E. Ogden Foundation, Beatrice worked as a full-time partner in Dillon & Stern, Architects, and URBIO, S.A., architecture and planning firms in both New York State and Panama. She attended The Putney School, and holds a Bachelors Degree from Oberlin College and a Master of Architecture from Rice University.
