Panel: Northeast Food Hubs: Building Resiliency in the Region

Food hubs within the Northeast of varying scale, mission, and end consumers have an deep impact within the regional food shed. From New england to the mid-Atlantic, food hubs play a critical role in getting the bounty of our region in high volumes to urban areas in order to meet the demands of individuals, institutions, and retail outlets for healthy food and value added products. This panel will give food hub leaders from Red Tomato, Common Market, Farm Fresh Rhode Island, and greenmarket Co. the chance to share about their respective models, supply chains, and connections to end consumers as well as how their work is collectively strengthening the regional food economy and landscape

Bronx Bodegas: Healthy Retail in the Bronx

Join us to learn how community based organizations, health centers, bodega owners, and local residents are working together to bring healthier food to the Boogie Down. In this workshop, our partners will introduce several healthy food retail programs being implemented across the Bronx in bodegas. They will share how partnerships and coalition building can have an increased impact and discuss strategies for successful collaboration.
