Queer & Trans People of Color Caucus
QTPOC Farmers & Foodies: Resilience and Healing within the Food System
Room: HM 424
Due to the need to address disparities in food access and land resources for communities of color, this gathering builds upon our lived experiences as Queer, Trans & Gender Non-Conforming farmers, food justice activists, foodies, chefs, & community organizers. Our intention with this gathering is to build community, to self-determine what we want for our communities, and to provide a healing, regenerative space to support the work that we do. We will have a community altar, storytelling and resource sharing. This session is open to those who identify as Queer / Trans / GNC and POC.
Speakers: Lucretia John, Food Justice Advocate; Luz Cruz, Community Organizer; Omari Washington, Program Coordinator, Hudson valley Seed.
